The Oklahoma City Thunder showered a thunder-storm on LA that looked pretty darn impressive. The only way it wouldn't impress you is if you are a LA Lakers fan. This would not have impressed you one bit. I watched as much of the game as I could; I tend to leave the room when the intensity dies down (why I can barely watch Baseball and Golf). But the Thunder let Kobe Bryant and the Lake-Show know one thing crystal clear on Monday evening...the Lakers will have to work to beat this team.

The young legs seem to be prevailing over the older legs as the Celtics ran short against the Sixers... the Lakers looked much more fatigued than any team I've seen in the playoffs so far. The Thunder can go ahead and send a check to the Nuggets for running the Lakers down to empty!

Keys for the Lakers in my opinion is for Bynum and Gasol to take over the team. They need to hijack the team from Kobe and convince the former MVP and 2 Time NBA champion (I know it is 5 but three belong to Shaq) to take the relaxed-chilled-out method as he did in game 7 to the Nuggets. When Kobe saw the game getting out of hand; he pretended he was 19 years young again and began hording up shots.

This will not work against Thabo Sefolosha, whose only job is to guard Kobe this series... a job he is pretty good at! Bryant will be working too hard and it will take away from the series. Ron Artest has to do a better job against the leagues MVP runner-up, and Kobe has his work cut out for him in having to chase Westbrook who appears to be a Michael Jordan fan, and is upset at Kobe for years of trying to be like Mike.

Russell, that is what the commercial told us to do..."Be Like Mike..."

Lakers Thunder will play game two on Wednesday night - I will skip or push back Bible study just this once to see if the storm last in LA!
